We are often asked, “When we come whitewater rafting in Ohiopyle, where should we stay?” Or, “What kind of accommodations should we look for?” If you want to stay in “downtown” Ohiopyle, there are just a few options. I would recommend the Ohiopyle Guest Houses which are centrally located right in town. You can rent just a room out of one the houses or you can rent the whole house. All the Guest Houses are within walking distance of our Outdoor Center, the Old Mill General Store, and the Ohiopyle Zip-line Adventure Park… just to name a few!
If you are looking for camping there are several options. The closest campground would be the Kentuck Campground at Ohiopyle State Park. But there are also quite a few privately owned campgrounds located close to us here in Ohiopyle. If you are bringing a large group, we can set up the camping for you at Benner’s Meadow Run Campground. Benner’s Campground is a nice option for families, too, because they have a large pool and arcade area.
For those of you who aren’t into camping and the Guest Houses don’t appeal to you, then Days Inn Donegal is the place for you. The Days Inn in Donegal, PA is a short 22 miles from Ohiopyle, conveniently located at Exit 91 off the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Many of you will be passing it as you drive to Ohiopyle from the Turnpike. The Days Inn Donegal sits on 12 acres which helps make it feel more like a resort than just a turnpike hotel.
Days Inn Donegal offers a completely smoke-free facility, free breakfast, and an outdoor recreation area including a large outdoor heated pool, sand volleyball court, picnic areas, and an elegant outdoor banquet pavilion. Celebration Place houses their banquet and meeting facilities, large game room, and fitness room.
Days Inn Donegal offers rafting packages with Laurel Highlands River Tours. For more information about the packages available, click here. To book a rafting package with lodging at Days Inn directly, please contact them directly via their website or call 724-593-7536.
