Upper Youghiogheny (Class IV-V)
With one section dropping over 115 feet per mile, the Upper Yough can be considered the ULTIMATE CHALLENGE!

We use a specially designed self-bailing four-person raft that has added foot stirrups to help you tackle this technical Class IV-V river. Guides will be in each raft to assist you in meeting the challenges of nature's most powerful elements. This river flows from a hydropower dam release. The amount of water released and release times are determined by the power company and may vary. We meet at our base in Ohiopyle and transport you to the put-in near Friendsville, MD to begin your adventure.

Here are a few things that you should know about this river tour.

The tour is offered from April to October.
The skill level of this tour is 4 on a scale of 1 to 4.
You will experience class IV and V rapids. This tour is for experienced rafters only.
16 is the reccommended age of the rafter on this tour.
Estimated rafting time is six hours. These do vary so please don't hold us to it.
You will receive a deli style lunch at the river's edge.
