Before the invention of matches, flint and steel was the preferred method of starting fires. Come learn the basic elements of what is needed to build a flint and steel fire. Then try your hand at this primitive skill. Successful builders of a flint and steel fire will be rewarded with s’mores! Meet at the Kentuck Campground Amphitheater.
For centuries tea has caused civil unrest, drug addiction and even wars. While all the while it has remained a refreshing drink. During this hike we will explore the rich history of tea and sample some teas made from wild plants found in the park. Meet at the Ohiopyle State Park Train Station Visitor Center.
The flower gardens in the park are all a flutter with butterflies and hummingbirds. Join the naturalist as she explains the life of butterflies and how to attract them into your yard. There will also be some butterfly like activities. Meet at the Ohiopyle State Park Falls Area Visitor Center.
